This page explains what personal information Authentic Gems ("we", "us") collects through authenticgems.pk, why we need it, who else sees it and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: we collect what it takes to deliver your order and help you afterwards, nothing more, and we never sell your details to anyone.
Who We Are
Authentic Gems is an online seller of natural loose gemstones, based in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Any privacy question can go to hello@authenticgems.pk, or to us on WhatsApp using the number on our contact page.
The Information We Collect
When you order
- Your name
- Your phone number (which we also use for WhatsApp, if you have it)
- Your delivery address and city
- Your email address
- Which stones you ordered, the order value and any notes you leave
Because you pay Cash on Delivery, checkout never asks for card or bank details. If we owe you a refund on a Cash on Delivery order, we will ask for the bank account details needed to send it and use them for that transfer only.
When you get in touch
The messages you send us by WhatsApp, phone, email or the contact form, along with whatever details you decide to include in them.
When you use the website
Basic technical information: the type of device and browser, a rough location worked out from your IP address, the pages you look at and how you found the site. This comes from cookies and similar tools, explained further down.
What We Use It For
- Processing, packing and delivering your order
- Confirming your order by phone or WhatsApp before it is dispatched, and keeping you posted on its progress
- Handling returns, exchanges and refunds
- Answering your questions and helping after the sale
- Keeping the website running, secure and easy to use, and seeing which pages people find useful
- Meeting our legal and accounting duties
We only send news or offers if you have asked for them, and you can stop them whenever you like.
Who Else Sees It
We do not sell or rent personal information, ever. It is shared only where that is needed to serve you:
- Courier companies get your name, phone number and address so they can deliver the parcel and collect the Cash on Delivery payment. They act on our behalf for that job.
- Service providers such as our website host, email service and analytics tools handle data for us so the site and our messages keep working.
- Authorities, when Pakistani law requires us to share it.
Cookies and Analytics
authenticgems.pk uses essential cookies so your basket and checkout work. We may also use analytics cookies to see, in total rather than person by person, how visitors use the site so we can improve it. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. The shop will still work, though your basket may not be remembered from one visit to the next.
How Long We Keep It
Order records are kept for as long as we need them to complete the order, deal with any return and meet accounting and legal requirements. After that they are deleted or made anonymous. Messages you send us are kept only while they help us look after you.
How We Protect It
Only the people who need customer data to process orders can get to it, and we take reasonable technical and practical steps to keep it safe. No online business can promise perfect security, but we treat your information with care.
Your Rights and Choices
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have anything wrong corrected, or have it deleted once we no longer need it for an order or a legal reason. You can also withdraw your consent to marketing at any point. Email hello@authenticgems.pk with your request and the phone number or email address used on your order, and we will reply as soon as we can.
Updates to This Policy
We may change this policy from time to time. The current version always lives on this page, and we will make any significant change clear on the site.
