Known in Urdu as Yaqoot

Natural Ruby (Yaqoot) Stone in Pakistan

Yaqoot is the Urdu name for ruby, and a good one has a red that seems to glow from inside the stone rather than sit on its surface. Mineralogically it is red corundum, among the most valued coloured gems there are. Every ruby at Authentic Gems is listed as one stone, photographed as it is and priced on its own, with origin and treatment stated when we know them.
