What a lab looks for in Feroza
- Stabilisation: resin or polymer forced into porous turquoise to harden it and deepen the colour, which infrared spectroscopy detects.
- Dye: pale turquoise coloured blue, plus dyed howlite or magnesite passed off as Feroza.
- Reconstituted material: powdered turquoise held together with resin.
- Imitations: glass, plastic and ceramic.
Asking for a report
Choose a stone from our Feroza collection and message us its link on WhatsApp. We explain the testing steps for that stone, and the report reaches you before you pay. You can do the same with lapis lazuli, Aqeeq and malachite. More on lab-certified gemstones.
