About this stone
Everything we know about it
Description
Few stones look as restful as a good yashab. This one, at 8.4 carats, is a soft, even apple green with a clean polish, and the size gives the colour space to settle, so even a plain mount looks considered.
Jade has a quiet toughness. Its crystals grow interlocked, so it resists the chipping that catches softer stones, and it measures 6 to 7 on the Mohs scale. It is still slightly porous, which is why perfume and household cleaners should be kept away. Wipe it with a soft cloth after wearing.
The reference is AG-JD-0008. Like all jade, it may be dyed or polymer-impregnated, and jade without those treatments generally costs more. Message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you what we know about this piece. An independent lab report is your option.
A ring or a medium pendant suits this weight.

Ordering is Cash on Delivery anywhere in Pakistan, so you see the stone first. Karachi deliveries normally take 1–2 working days, other cities 2–4, and returns are accepted within 7 days.
This particular stone
This listing is one natural jade, known in Urdu as Yashab, with a weight of 8.4 Carat. Its price is Rs. 5,030 — roughly Rs. 599 for each carat. Treatment: treatment not tested. Quote reference AG-JD-0008 when you message us about it. The photographs show this exact stone, so what arrives at your door is the piece you chose on screen.
From six carats up a stone becomes the centre of attention. It wants a broader shank or a secure claw setting and suits an occasion ring, a signet or a centre pendant. Clean natural material of this size turns up far less often, and the per-carat rate reflects that.
On the Mohs scale jade rates 6 to 7. That is middle-of-the-road hardness: comfortable in pendants and earrings, and in rings worn with some care. Store it apart from harder stones so it does not pick up scratches, and wipe it with a damp cloth rather than scrubbing.
Whoever you buy jade from, make sure of three things: the stone is natural rather than lab-grown, glass or glass-filled; any treatment is stated in writing; and the weight quoted is the weight of the finished stone. We check every jade for those three points before it is listed, and because you pay on delivery you can look at the stone — or have it tested — before any money changes hands.
