About this stone
Everything we know about it
Description
Vivid olive green from Afghanistan, 2.95 carats: this zabarjad is the size most people picture when they think of a peridot ring or pendant. It shows its colour clearly without being heavy on the hand.
Hardness is 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale. That handles light daily wear well enough, but it is not sapphire or ruby, so a ring should be worn with some care and kept away from hard knocks. A pendant or earrings ask nothing of you at all. Peridot is rarely treated, and if you message us on WhatsApp we will tell you what we know about this exact stone. If you want independent lab testing, that is your choice to make.
Looking after peridot
Clean it in warm soapy water with a soft brush, then dry it with a soft cloth. Skip ultrasonic cleaners and sudden changes of temperature, and keep acids, bleach and strong sprays away. Store it apart from harder stones so they cannot scratch it.

Cash on Delivery lets you see before you pay. Most Karachi orders land in 1–2 working days and the rest of Pakistan in 2–4; if the stone is not right, send it back unused within 7 days. Our peridot guide is a good read before you choose.
This particular stone
This listing is one natural peridot, known in Urdu as Zabarjad, with a weight of 2.95 Carat. Its price is Rs. 12,750 — roughly Rs. 4,322 for each carat. Origin: Afghanistan. Treatment: treatment not tested. Quote reference AG-000338 when you message us about it. The photographs show this exact stone, so what arrives at your door is the piece you chose on screen.
Between two and six carats is the range most people choose for a gents' ring or a noticeable pendant. Here colour drives the price more than size does, which is why two stones of near-identical weight can be priced very differently.
On the Mohs scale peridot rates 6.5 to 7. That is middle-of-the-road hardness: comfortable in pendants and earrings, and in rings worn with some care. Store it apart from harder stones so it does not pick up scratches, and wipe it with a damp cloth rather than scrubbing.
Whoever you buy peridot from, make sure of three things: the stone is natural rather than lab-grown, glass or glass-filled; any treatment is stated in writing; and the weight quoted is the weight of the finished stone. We check every peridot for those three points before it is listed, and because you pay on delivery you can look at the stone — or have it tested — before any money changes hands.
