About this stone
Everything we know about it
Description
The word Ceylon still does a lot of work in a Pakistani gem bazaar. Sri Lanka has supplied sapphire for centuries, and buyers often link it with bright, lively blues. This 3.95 carat neelam carries that origin, but a name is not a colour, so the honest next step is to see the stone itself in daylight photographs before you make up your mind.
Here is what we can state. It is a natural blue sapphire, the stone most of Pakistan calls neelam, rated 9 on the Mohs scale. That hardness makes a ring a realistic everyday choice, as long as you clean it now and then and keep it away from gritty dust and hard knocks.
On treatment, we keep it straightforward. Heating is a normal step in the sapphire trade to improve colour and clarity, and stones left unheated are scarcer and cost more. Rather than guess, ask us on WhatsApp quoting AG-000857 and we will share what we know. If you want something in writing, independent testing is entirely up to you, and we are happy for the stone to be checked.
To compare it with other weights and shades, open the sapphire collection. A stone of nearly four carats deserves a slow look, so once it arrives, hold it beside the photos we sent and take your time.
If anything about choosing a neelam is unclear, our sapphire guide covers colour, cut and treatment in plain terms.
Ordering is simple: Cash on Delivery anywhere in Pakistan, so you open the parcel, check the stone and only then pay. Karachi deliveries normally take 1–2 working days and other cities 2–4, with a 7-day return window if it is not for you.
This particular stone
This listing is one natural sapphire, known in Urdu as Neelam, with a weight of 3.95 Carat. Its price is Rs. 16,500 — roughly Rs. 4,177 for each carat. Origin: Ceylon (Sri Lanka). Treatment: treatment not tested. Quote reference AG-000857 when you message us about it. The photographs show this exact stone, so what arrives at your door is the piece you chose on screen.
Between two and six carats is the range most people choose for a gents' ring or a noticeable pendant. Here colour drives the price more than size does, which is why two stones of near-identical weight can be priced very differently.
On the Mohs scale sapphire rates 9. Few materials will scratch it, so it copes well with everyday ring wear. A soak in warm water with a drop of mild soap and a soft brush keeps it bright; skip the ultrasonic cleaner if inclusions reach the surface.
Whoever you buy sapphire from, make sure of three things: the stone is natural rather than lab-grown, glass or glass-filled; any treatment is stated in writing; and the weight quoted is the weight of the finished stone. We check every sapphire for those three points before it is listed, and because you pay on delivery you can look at the stone — or have it tested — before any money changes hands.
