Aqeeq rings, set to order
Aqeeq Ring Price in Pakistan: Where the Money Goes عقیق کی انگوٹھی کی قیمت
In short: The price of an aqeeq ring is the stone plus the silver ring holding it, and the stone is usually the bigger part. Natural colour, a clean glow, a good polish and a well-proportioned cut all raise it, while dyed aqeeq should cost far less. Silver weight also counts, because 925 sterling silver is paid for by weight and follows the market.
Every aqeeq ring is really two prices together: the stone, and the silver ring that holds it. At Authentic Gems we sell natural aqeeq as loose stones, each photographed and priced individually, and we set the one you pick in a 925 silver ring made to your size. You order over WhatsApp and pay in cash when the parcel arrives.

The four things behind an aqeeq ring's price
Every aqeeq ring price is built from the same four parts. When you are comparing quotes from different shops, ask for each part on its own, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
1. The stone
In most rings the stone is the biggest share of the cost. Aqeeq is agate, a banded kind of chalcedony, and it comes in a whole range of colours: red and brownish red (often sold as Yemeni or Iranian aqeeq), black, white, yellow, green and the striped Sulemani. Natural, even colour, a clean glow when you hold it up to the light, a good polish and a well-proportioned cut all push the price up. Dyed aqeeq is everywhere in the bazaar and should cost a great deal less than natural colour; we state dyeing and any other treatment we know of on every listing. Our post on Yemeni vs Iranian aqeeq explains why origin names swing prices so much.
The table below is built from our own aqeeq listings and updated every month.
| Weight | Weights | Stones | Per carat | Per ratti |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| All Aqeeq in stock | 13.6 – 16.9 ct | 4 | Rs 180 – Rs 210 | Rs 160 – Rs 190 |
Bazaars often quote aqeeq per ratti. The standard gem ratti is 0.91 carat, while the sunar's ratti used by jewellers is smaller, about 0.61 carat, so always ask which one the seller has in mind. Our carat to ratti converter helps you compare fairly, and the monthly price guide shows where aqeeq sits next to other stones.
2. How much silver
We set our stones in 925 sterling silver, meaning 92.5 per cent silver with copper added for strength. Silver is paid for by weight, so a chunky men's ring with a thick shank costs more than a slim one. The silver rate also moves with the market, and that is one reason we confirm the total with you on WhatsApp at the time of ordering rather than printing a fixed figure.
3. The design
A plain bezel ring with a smooth shank takes the least work. Patterned shoulders, a raised crown or decorative claws all add labour. Big aqeeq stones, especially the large ovals a lot of men like, also need a deeper, sturdier cup and more silver.
4. Cast or handmade
A cast ring comes from a mould, so it is quicker, consistent and usually cheaper. A handmade ring is shaped by a karigar around your particular stone. That suits odd sizes and shapes and gives a closer fit, but it takes more labour. We will let you know which method works best for the stone you choose.
How aqeeq is traditionally worn
In Muslim tradition, many men wear aqeeq in a silver ring, often on the right hand and on the ring finger or little finger. Men usually choose silver because many scholars advise men not to wear gold; for any religious question, ask a scholar you trust. Women wear aqeeq in silver or gold, whichever they like. Our page on aqeeq for men looks at the tradition more closely.
Getting the size right
A ring that spins round or pinches ends up forgotten in a drawer. Measure the finger you mean to wear it on, ideally in the evening when fingers are a little fuller, using our ring size guide. If you land between two sizes, go for the bigger one on a broad men's band.
How ordering works
- Choose a stone. Browse aqeeq and the agate categories, or tell us your budget and favourite colour and we will suggest a few stones.
- Send your size. Message us the stone link and your ring size on WhatsApp, along with a photo of any design you like.
- We confirm on WhatsApp. We send back the design, the full price for stone and ring, and how long it will take. Nothing gets made until you say yes.
- We set it and send it. Once the ring is ready, it goes out by insured, tracked courier. Karachi deliveries usually take 1–2 working days, and the major cities 2–4.
- Pay when it arrives. Open the parcel, look the ring over, and then pay the rider in cash.
Looking after an aqeeq ring
At around 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, aqeeq is fairly hard and copes well with daily wear. Take the ring off for heavy work, keep it clear of bleach and harsh cleaners, and dry it with a soft cloth after washing. Silver darkens over time, and a silver polishing cloth brings the shine back. Store it away from harder stones so nothing gets scratched. Our gemstone care guide has more.
