Ramadan and Eid gift guide
Ramadan and Eid Gemstone Gifts: Tasbih, Rings and Eidi رمضان اور عید کے تحائف
In short: For Ramadan, a gemstone tasbih in aqeeq, Dur-e-Najaf, amethyst, tiger eye or pearl is the most fitting gift, used for dhikr after every salah. For Eid, a 925 silver ring suits a husband, father or brother, a loose birthstone suits a wife or sister, and a small natural stone makes Eidi that lasts far longer than cash.
Ramadan is the month of prayer, and Eid is when the family gathers and gifts change hands. A gemstone fits both: a tasbih for the long nights of ibadat, a silver ring for Eid morning, a small natural stone as Eidi. Here we cover what to give, what it costs and when to order so your parcel beats the courier rush.

Traditional belief vs gemmology: anything on this page about luck, protection, planets, healing or religious tradition describes traditional and cultural beliefs — not proven effects, religious rulings or medical advice. A stone's identity, hardness, treatment and origin are gemmology, which a lab can test; the references at the end of the page cover that side.
A tasbih for Ramadan
If you are choosing one Ramadan gift, a gemstone tasbih is hard to beat. It gets used for dhikr after every salah and through the long nights of the last ten days. Plenty of families hand one over at the start of the month so it is in use all the way through. Aqeeq, Dur-e-Najaf, amethyst, tiger eye and pearl are the popular stones, and some people prefer a stone with a family or religious connection. Have a look at our tasbih collection and read which tasbih stone to choose.
A tasbih is an easy present, too: there is no size to get wrong, it suits men and women, and it is welcome at any age.
Gifts for Eid ul Fitr
For parents and elders
A tasbih, or a silver ring set with a stone they already love. Many elders hold aqeeq and feroza dear because of their long place in Muslim tradition; see Islamic gemstones.
For a husband, father or brother
A 925 silver ring with aqeeq, feroza, Dur-e-Najaf or his birthstone. Many men go for silver because many scholars advise men against gold; for religious questions, ask a scholar you trust. See gemstone rings for men and our stone setting service.
For a wife, mother or sister
A loose birthstone, or a colour she loves from our colour pages. Emerald, ruby, pearl and amethyst look lovely with Eid clothes.
Eidi for the younger ones
A small natural stone makes Eidi that outlasts cash. Agates, tiger eye, moonstone and amethyst are all affordable; browse under 5,000 rupees, 5,000 to 20,000, 20,000 to 50,000 or over 50,000. Our post on gemstones under 5,000 rupees has good suggestions.
Gifts for children
For little ones, a loose stone in a small box is a safer bet than a ring, which they will either outgrow or lose. Older children often love a stone linked to their birth month or a favourite colour, along with its story: where it was mined, what it is called in Urdu and what tradition says about it. Moonstone, amethyst, tiger eye and agate are tough and inexpensive, and a child who gets one often starts a little collection.
Gifts for Eid ul Adha
Eid ul Adha gathers the family once more, and the same ideas work. It is also a good moment to give a stone to someone coming back from Hajj or Umrah, or to welcome them home with a tasbih. Aqeeq and Dur-e-Najaf are special favourites for this.
When to order for Eid
In the last days before Eid, couriers across Pakistan are swamped and many offices close for the holidays. We dispatch loose stones and tasbihs within 1 working day of confirming your order. Karachi deliveries usually take 1–2 working days, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and the other big cities 2–4, and smaller towns up to about 7. To be safe, order in the first half of Ramadan for Eid ul Fitr. A ring needs extra making time, which we confirm on WhatsApp, so order it at the start of Ramadan or earlier. For Eid ul Adha, order at least two weeks ahead.
Choosing well
- Get the size: for a ring, borrow one they already wear and use our ring size guide. If you are unsure, give a loose stone.
- Make sure it is natural: every stone we sell is natural, known treatments are disclosed, and a certificate is available on request.
- Check before paying: with Cash on Delivery you open the parcel and look at the item before paying the rider.
Sending Eid gifts to family in other cities
Lots of families send Eid presents to relatives studying or working elsewhere in Pakistan. A tasbih or a loose stone travels well in an insured parcel, and delivery is a flat Rs. 500 per order however many stones are inside. Order early, double-check the full address and phone number, and let the person know a parcel is on its way so someone is home to receive it.
About the traditions
Many Muslims cherish aqeeq, feroza and Dur-e-Najaf, and there are well-known narrations and family customs around them. These are traditions that many people hold, and we do not give religious rulings; ask a scholar you trust for guidance. Our Eid and wedding gift guide has more ideas.
