Men's rings, set to order
Gemstone Rings for Men: Picking the Stone and the Setting مردوں کے لیے پتھر کی انگوٹھی
In short: For a men's ring worn daily in Pakistan, begin with a hard stone. Sapphire and ruby are 9 on the Mohs scale, topaz is 8, and aqeeq, quartz and Dur-e-Najaf are around 7. Aqeeq is the most common choice for men. Softer stones such as feroza, opal and lapis can still be worn, but need a full bezel and some care.
Most Pakistani men wear just one ring and never take it off, so the stone has to suit both the man and the way he lives. Authentic Gems sells natural loose stones, each photographed and priced individually, and sets the one you choose in a 925 silver ring made to your size. This page helps you pick the stone, understand the price and order over WhatsApp.

The stones Pakistani men reach for
- Aqeeq (agate). By far the most worn men's stone in Pakistan, in red, black, Sulemani and plenty of other shades. Tough enough for every day and easy on the pocket. See our aqeeq ring page.
- Feroza (turquoise). Sky blue and deeply traditional, but soft, so it wants a protective bezel. See feroza ring for men.
- Neelam (blue sapphire). Extremely hard and built to last, picked for its colour and its place in Vedic astrology. See neelam ring price.
- Yaqoot (ruby) and pukhraj (yellow sapphire). Just as hard, and the classic Vedic stones for the Sun and Jupiter. See yaqoot ring price and pukhraj ring price.
- Lehsunia (cat's eye), tiger eye and black agate. Strong, masculine looks across a range of budgets.
- Dur-e-Najaf. Clear quartz that many men wear for its religious connections. See Dur-e-Najaf.
Choose a stone that can take daily life
A man's ring gets banged against car doors, desks, tools and gym bars. The Mohs hardness scale is a decent first guide. Sapphire and ruby are 9 and brush off most wear. Topaz is 8, and agate, quartz and Dur-e-Najaf are about 7. Feroza, opal and lapis sit closer to 5 or 6 and scratch more easily, and pearl and coral are softer again. You can still wear the softer stones, but a full bezel and a bit of care go a long way. If you work with your hands, start with something hard.
What goes into the price of a men's ring
Ask any seller to break the price down. You will find the same four parts every time.
The stone
The type of stone matters most: a fine neelam and a good aqeeq of the same size can be miles apart. Within one type, colour, clarity, size, cut, origin and treatment set the value. Our monthly price guide shows current ranges from our own listings, and you can shop by budget: under 5,000 rupees, 5,000 to 20,000, 20,000 to 50,000 or over 50,000.
How much silver
Men's rings use more metal. A wide, heavy shank looks solid but adds cost, since 925 silver is priced by weight and follows the market.
The design
A plain bezel band is the simplest. Carved shoulders, a stepped crown or a pattern around the stone all add hours of work.
Cast or handmade
Cast rings come out of moulds and suit standard shapes. A handmade ring is built around your stone by a karigar, which helps with big or irregular stones and gives a snugger fit.
Finger, hand and metal by tradition
Vedic astrology pairs each finger with a planet: the index finger with Jupiter (pukhraj), the middle finger with Saturn (neelam), the ring finger with the Sun (yaqoot) and the little finger with Mercury (zamurd). Our planetary stones page sets out the full system. In Muslim tradition, many men wear a ring on the right hand, on the ring or little finger, and pick silver because many scholars advise men against gold. These are traditions; for religious questions, ask a scholar you trust.
Size and proportion
A man's ring usually looks best when the stone matches the hand: a broad hand carries a bigger oval, slim fingers a smaller one. Measure using our ring size guide, and keep in mind that a wide band feels tighter than a narrow one in the same size.
How ordering works
- Choose a stone from our categories, or message us your budget and purpose on WhatsApp and we will suggest some.
- Send us the stone link and your ring size, with a photo of a design you like if you have one.

- Once ready, the ring goes out by insured, tracked courier: usually 1–2 working days in Karachi and 2–4 to the major cities.
- Open the parcel, check the ring, then pay the rider. Cash on Delivery works anywhere in Pakistan.
Care
Slip the ring off for heavy lifting and gardening, dry it after washing, and give the silver a rub with a silver cloth now and again. Our care guide goes stone by stone.
