So when a Karachi business offers to send you a gemstone, the fair question is: why buy from us and not from a shop down the road? Our answer is simple. You see the exact stone online, it travels to you insured, and you pay only after opening the parcel and looking at it. Whether it is a natural neelam, a yaqoot for a man's ring, a zamurd for a pendant or a plain aqeeq for every day, here is how it works from Karachi to Lahore.

From our Karachi desk to your Lahore address

Every listing in the Authentic Gems shop is one natural stone, photographed as it is and priced by itself. What you see in the pictures is what arrives. The per-carat rate is the price divided by the carat weight, which gives you one clean number to set against any quote from Anarkali or a Liberty showroom.

1. Choose a stone on the website, or WhatsApp us your budget, the stone you want or your astrologer's advice, and we will send photos and weights of suitable stones from stock.
2. We confirm and dispatch. After a quick phone or WhatsApp confirmation, the stone leaves Karachi within 1 working day by insured, tracked courier.
3. It reaches Lahore in about 2 to 4 working days: Johar Town, DHA, Model Town, Bahria Town, Cantt or the Walled City.
4. Inspect, then pay. Open the parcel in front of the rider, check the stone, and hand over the cash only if you are satisfied.

Delivery is a flat Rs. 500 per order, however many stones you put in it.

Three habits before paying anyone in Lahore

Quality in the city's gem trade runs from very fine to plain glass, sometimes in the same street. Wherever you buy, these habits protect you:

• Look in daylight. Shop lighting flatters everything. Take the stone to the door or a window before deciding.
• Ask for the treatment in writing. Heated sapphire and ruby, or oiled emerald, are normal and fine when declared. Glass-filled ruby and dyed stones at natural prices are not. Labels like "Kashmir neelam" or "Burma yaqoot" mean little without a lab report.
• Work out the per-carat rate. A big, clean, bright stone priced far below the going rate is almost never natural. The real vs fake gemstones guide has simple checks you can do at home.

Every stone we sell is natural and inspected before listing, with known treatments disclosed. You can ask for a certificate of authenticity, and independent lab testing can be arranged on request. Our authenticity page explains both.

Setting the stone in a ring

Many Lahore customers have a family jeweller who will set the stone, and a loose stone travels easily. If you would rather we arranged a custom silver ring, often with an open back so the stone touches the skin as astrological custom prefers, message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you what is possible.

If the stone isn't right

You have 7 days from delivery to send a stone back for a refund or an exchange, provided it is unused, in its original condition and packaging, and returned with its certificate if one was issued. Refunds are processed within 3-5 business days after we have checked the returned stone, and Cash on Delivery refunds are paid by bank transfer.
